SECRET CLEARANCE APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY
Members of LIUNA are experienced Construction Craft Laborers (CCL) that rely on a diverse set of skills, performed on a wide variety of job sites.
Construction Craft Laborers are essential members of the construction team, responsible for supporting a wide range of tasks that ensure job sites operate efficiently and safely. They work alongside skilled tradespeople to prepare sites, handle materials, and perform duties that contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and maintain construction sites, including site cleanup, debris removal, trenching, and setting up temporary structures or safety barriers.
-Load, unload, and distribute building materials using manual methods or powered equipment.
-Assist with concrete work, including placing, spreading, and finishing, as well as setting forms and reinforcing steel.
-Perform demolition activities using hand and power tools.
-Support underground utility installation by excavating, grading, and positioning piping or conduit.
-Contribute to road and paving projects through asphalt preparation, application, and compaction.
-Operate tools and small equipment such as tampers, jackhammers, saws, and compactors, following all safety protocols.
-Work collaboratively with other trades to facilitate smooth workflow on the jobsite.
-Assist with specialized tasks such as scaffold erection, environmental remediation, or confined space work as required.
Requirements
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE AS YOU WILL BE AROUND SUBMARINES
Portsmouth Naval Yard 3 month Scaffold contract.....could be extended for another 3 months if you perform well.
Would have to go to school for scaffold training unless you have proven work time already doing scaffold.
$33.01 an hour.
Plus $2.68 an hour annuity and health insurance after 1000 hours worked.
