Credentialing Specialist Team Lead

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Credentialing Team Lead assists the Credentialing Manager with the training and supervision of the Credentialing Processing Center (CPC). The Credentialing Team Lead will work closely with personnel to deliver quality work and seek direction on issues resolution. Serving in this capacity, this individual must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by taking ownership of issues and facilitation effective outcomes in a timely manner.
In this role you will:
- Provide introductory and ongoing training and education to staff to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
- Meet with the Manager regularly to effectively communicate and resolve issues, set and prioritize goals, and improve processes.
- Assist with staff communication, providing updates, resolving issues, setting goals, and maintaining standards.
- Handle difficult customer follow up problems.
- Retrieve and review performance reports.
- Assures that all provider credentialing is timely and accurate for all customers.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and customer service policies,
- Assist Manager with development and implementations of CPC project action plans.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare credentialing (i.e., healthcare facility, managed care setting, credentials verification organization, or Medical Staff Office), required.
- Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance, preferred.
- Detailed working knowledge of the health care and credentialing industry, including medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agencies, and other national standards preferred Professional telephone etiquette
- Able to work with minimal supervision and works well in both individual and group environment.
